There are many issues that school counsellors are unable to ethically and professionally assist students with therefore they are obliged to refer students to other more specialized professionals.

 Referrals can be: 

Addictions Foundation of Manitoba (AFM) counsellor

School Psychologists

Resource Teachers

Children's Hospital 

Mental Health agencies within the community.
